Grumbling Lucan entered the gates of Whiterun. Even with dragons still about after a few weeks the Jarl decided to go back to things as usual and the guards let him in without their normal smart ass comments. That and since he would take trips to the city once a month for the store most of the guards recognized him. They also knew he could throw the insults right back in equal good humor. As the great doors closed behind him Lucan trudged on. Taking the main street to the marketplace now all Lucan wanted to do was get to the Bannered Mare Inn, secure a room for the week, have some supper and go to sleep.
Feet sore from all the walking he was not in the best of moods when a little girl crashed into him. Gritting his teeth he looked down but her bright smile kept him from scolding her to pay more attention to where she was going.
"Hi!" She greeted and fell into step beside him. "I've see you before."
